We are a very small olive grove, covering just over two acres, and are located right in the middle of award winning wineries & olive groves in Mangawhai. In fact, right next door is Millars Vineyard, who have 2 hectares of vines they planted in 2005.

We brought the property in 2017, when the trees were about 14 years old....and in desperate need of a good prune & feed! We have 200 trees, which are mostly Koroneiki, meaning our oil is both of high quality & tasty with that full body flavor that takes you straight to Greece! 

 

We prefer to keep things simple and sustainable, so we use no sprays on the grass or trees and only use sheep pellets for fertilizer. We pick with mechanical rakes by hand & send the olives straight to the press the same day. We prefer to keep our oil natural and store it unfiltered to lock in the flavour.

Our first harvest was in 2018, where we took 2.5 days to pick 700 kgs of Olives, which was pressed into 110 litres of Oil. When we had our second go in 2019, the team of volunteers managed to pick 835kgs in one single but very long day, and we got 135 litres back from the press. In 2020, we managed to pick 740 kgs with 3 people in 1 day, in the middle of a country wide lockdown. As it was a dry summer, the fruit was nice & ripe and we ended up with 145 litres!! In 2021 we set a new record...picking 1.25 tonnes in a day and a half (957kgs on the first day), and 190 litres of tasty oil to sell!

Our oil is stored in our VAT shed in Devonport, Auckland. We have been in Devonport for over 15 years, and are proud to offer free delivery in the local area for our oil. We offer a full range of sizes for our oil, from 250ml bottles all the way up to the 64OZ (1892ml) Growler bottle. We also offer a swap-a-bottle service in Devonport for the growler, or return your old bottle so we all make less impact on the planet.

We are proud to be certified by Olives NZ each year as Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
